WELCOME!

     

.       Welcome to Germantown High School!  My name is Neely Umphlett.  I teach 9th grade English 1, English 2 Learning Strategies, and I am also the coach for Speech and Debate.  I am a 1999 graduate of Mississippi State University! GO DAWGS!  I have taught 2nd grade in Rankin County, Kindergarten at Mannsdale Elementary, and 6th and 7th grades at Germantown Middle School.  I am so excited to be at GHS this year to continue teaching so many students that I have had through the years!!!

**FUN FACT!  My very 1st kindergarten class to teach when we moved to Madison is the SENIOR class this year!!!

My husband, Will, and I have been married for 23 years.  We have two daughters.  Both are graduates of Germantown High School and are now at Mississippi State University.  Kate is a junior, and Alli is a freshman. We also have 2 furbbabies!  Charlie is a 7 year old sheepadoodle, and Max is a 2 year old goldendoodle!
