About the Teacher

Hello! My name is Summer Nation. I teach Ceramics 1 and 2 and am sponsor of the World Culture Club and Young Women's Leadership at GHS.  My Bachelor of Fine Arts is from Memphis College of Art, and I have a Masters in Education of Art from Mississippi College. This will be my 22nd year of teaching Art in Mississippi, and I am a National Board Certified Teacher in Art for Early Adolescence through Young Adulthood. 

I love to travel and learn about art and cultures from all over the world. I have 3 wonderful kids and a sweet dog named Chloe.
